Hello all! This is something I've used for YEARS as a warmup exercise, as well as a tool to increase speed and articulation. If you're just starting to get into alternate picking, this is an excellent exercise to utilize with it.

Some important reminders with this: First of all, as with any exercise, start slow and build up. If you're not using your pinky yet...you will be! Also, once you've established the pattern, move it up and down the neck. I've used C Major simply as a reference point for you. You can also use the technique in other modes. It can sound particularly cool when used with harmonic minor stuff. Have fun!
