When I first started playing guitar I played blues scales up and down changing slight aspects as I went - Over and over untill I gradually picked up speed. in the end you can pop off little riffs without hardly thinking what you are doing, and they sound GREAT.

You can play about as much as you like with these notes and it makes great sounds at whatever speed or what possitioon you play the scale up the guitar. Very slow at first, you pick this scale up very fast as it aint too fiddley. have fun!
