This is an interesting modal excercise I made up to warm the hell out of your fingers.
It uses only F and F# modal scales to play through all the major chords, in this order:
Cmaj (F Lydian)
C#maj (F Phrygian)
Dmaj (F# Phrygian)
Ebmaj (F Dorian)
Emaj (F# Dorian)
Fmaj (F Ionian)
F#maj (F Locrian)
Gmaj (F# Locrian)
Abmaj (F Aeolian)
Amaj (F# Aeolian)
Bbmaj (F Mixolydian)
Bmaj (F# Mixolydian)
Try it nice and slowly until you start to float away on a dreamy cloud of scales. Then before you start to drool, try the next page, which has the same scales and modes but executed in reverse.
