Kirk Lorange mentioned in article #90 "Slide & The Blues:"I know there are players out there who can play anything in open tunings. I always seem to wind up playing the blues. (Where would I find, say, a C# minor7 in open G? I don't have the faintest idea). " This is in response to Kirks' article for those of you who do play in other tunings and would like to know how it can be done. I use all the normal slide tunings: open G, open D, dadgad & dropped D ala Kirks' Fave! And I also use a tuning; dadgbd (which is one that I have adapted that saves me the time of retuning between songs ( when I'm too lazy to take a swag of guitars with me) and it also covers a lot of musical styles.
