I'm writing this lesson because I remember first learning about the modes and thinking that there were many fingerings and I would have to practice for hours just to get each fingering down ...well there is an easier way. First become familiar with the major scale all up and down the fretboard. For this lesson I am going to use the 8th position but you should be familiar with the major scale all over the fretboard. So here is C Major starting at the 8th fret.
