Robben also makes use of interesting interval patterns in his playing, particularly 4ths. Here in measure 1, after the opening G, we play an ascending A, D, G on separate strings, and then play E, A, D again on separate strings. Because this is a bit more difficult to play, and is not commonly heard, at higher speeds, it really cooks.
