Time Out #1: Some Basic Hints

Hint 1. Entering Notes

In the Fretboard section, you can also enter notes using either
  • Shift-click - Hold down the keyboard SHIFT key, and click on the Fretboard, or
  • Ctrl-click - Hold down the keyboard CTRL key, and click on the Fretboard.
Hint 2. Deleting Notes

To delete a note, first locate the note start in the Measure Timeline section.
Click on this point to set the Timeline Cursor.
The note name to be deleted should now be visible in light-blue in the Fretboard section.
Any other notes which also start at this time will also be visible in light-blue.
In the Fretboard section, you can now delete the note using either
  • Shift-click - Hold down the keyboard SHIFT key, and click on the note name in the Fretboard, or
  • Ctrl-click - Hold down the keyboard CTRL key, and click on the note name in the Fretboard.
Hint 3. Changing Note Duration

You can change the duration of an existing note using one of three methods :-
  1. In the Measure Timeline, locate the last black dash ( - ) representing the end of the note.
    Click on this dash, and drag it in the timeline to the desired endpoint.
  2. To shorten a note, use the method of Hint 2, with the following changes :-
    • Locate the Timeline Cursor at the point from which you wish the note to be deleted
    • The note name will be now visible in black in the Fretboard section.
  3. Delete the note and insert again (with a duration previously set by the Duration Menu).
    This can be conveniently achieved using Hint 2 followed by Hint 1.
