Starting The Composer

To create a new Sequence, the easiest way to start Composer is by clicking on the Composer tab in the top left of the main WholeNote menu.
(To edit an existing Sequence, you must go into your My Music listing.)

The Composer may take up to several minutes to load the first time; subsequent entry should be quicker.

The instructions on the following Pages assume that you have entered the Composer, and have a printed version of this Lesson for use as reference.
For Help on printing Lessons, refer to the timely Printing Lesson Pages - Some Tips lesson by Bruce Maag.

I have used the following text styles to reference the Composer Reference Diagram.

The Composer is made up of several Sections, which are labelled Like This.

The Diagram also contains some numbered Points which indicate where the mouse cursor should be located. These are referenced in the text like this (Point 1).

A Note About Computer Displays

Depending upon the settings of your Computer Display, you may not be able to see all of the Composer sections at one time; in particular the Measure Timeline and Sequence Timeline sections may be partially or fully hidden from view. In this case, use your Browser scroll-bars to make the desired section visible.
