Rockabilly Scales

There is no particular wizardary to these open position scales that are common to rockabilly leads. In fact, the scales are pretty standard to blues and rock leads as well.

You'll be surprised how quickly you can sound like a rockabilly cat when you play these in the right context with a little slapback going.

Scale 1 is a pretty straight forward pentatonic scale.

Start slow -- with a tempo of about 60 -- and build up to speed.
