Warm Up Exersises
Warming up your fingers is an esential part of practice. Especially if you're going for all out speed. Following will be some excersises that I use to help build speed and dexterity.
The first exersize is just a cromatic type scale. A very basic finger pattern of 1 2 3 4 / 4 3 2 1 is used.
Continue the exersise up to the 12 fret. Play back down to the first fret for even more of a work out. Use a metrenome and radually increase the tempo until you can't keep up. Emphasize acuracy over speed. Better to sound good at a slower pace than sound bad and fast.
