Scott Joplin wrote a ton of ragtime piano tunes, many of which are classics and very recognizable. The Maple Leaf Rag is one of his best known. The piece is originally in Ab, but here it's in A because it lays out better for guitar. It has 4 different sections and the first, second, and fourth are shown in this lesson. I'll add the other section in the future. Plunk through it at a slow tempo to get it under fingers, and gradually bump up the tempo. This tune really burns at higher tempoes.
