GROUP THREE. Enharmonic equivalents. A#dim7(Bbdim7), C#dim7, Edim7, Gdim7

Bm = B, C#, D, E, F#, G, A#, B

Key signature has two sharps, same as D major, F# top line, C# third space. The seventh degree of the B harmonic minor scale is raised. A is the 7th degree so it is changed to A# every time the note A is written on the staff.

Primary chords in the key of Bm are Bm(i)=B, D, F# Em(iv)=E, G, B

F#7(V7)=F#, A#, C#, E. Lowered ninth(b9=G Raised ninth(#9)=Gx

A#dim7(vii7)=A#, C#, E, G

A#dim7 and passing tones=A#, [B], C#, [D], E, [F#], G**b9, [Gx]**#9, A#.

Dm = D, E, F, G, A, Bb, C#, D

Key signature has one flat, same as F major, Bb middle line of the staff.The seventh degree, "C", in the harmonic minor scale is raised. Everytime the C occurs in the music, a sharp is placed in front of the C on the staff, making it C#.

Primary chords in the key of D minor are= Dm(i)=D, F, A Gm(iv)=G, Bb, D

A7(V7)=A, C#, E, G. Lowered ninth(b9)=Eb Raised ninth(#9)=E#.

C#dim7(vii7)=C#, E, G, Bb.

C#dim7 notes and passing tones = C#, [D], E, [F], G, [A], Bb**b9, B#**#9, C#.

Fm = F, G, Ab, Bb, C, Db, E, F.

Key signature of Fm, same as Ab major, contains four flats. Bb middle line, Eb fourth space, Ab second space, Db fourth line in the staff. Seventh degree of the scale is raised. Each time the E is encountered a natural is placed in front of the note, cancelling out the flat from the key signature.

Primary chords in the key of Fm are Fm(i)=F, Ab, C Bbm(iv)=Bb, Db, F

C7(V7)=C, E, G, Bb.

Edim7(vii7)=E, G, Bb, Db(C#).

Edim7 notes and passing tones=E, [F], G, [Ab], Bb, [C], Db**b9, [D#]**#9, E.
