Rhythm With Fragmented Chords 2

This rhythm is designed to build on the concept of playing a fragmented chord style to enhance a basic rhythm. If you play it on an acoustic guitar or a clean electric, it may sound slightly country; if you use a slightly distorted/dirty electric, it should sound more like alternative rock. Use this rhythm to design your own rhythms with a similar sound. The important thing to remember is to stay pretty much within the notes of the key in which you are playing (in this case, G). Once rhythms of this kind become more easy to play, you could experiment with notes outside of the key, but it is generally best to use such notes as "grace" notes (notes which have a very short duration); otherwise, the piece will sound a little harsh to the ear. I hope this type of playing helps your rhythm style. If you have questions, feel free to email me ...
