Building Finger Independence: Part Two

As in Part 1, we will begin with our fingers in the Home position(see below). This time we will move our fingers in opposite directions. Begin with fingers 3/4, move the third finger to the second string while moving the fourth finger to the fourth string (remember to keep the first and second finger in place). Now switch the third finger to the fourth string and the fourth finger to the secong string. (see Ex 1 & Ex 2) The fingers should move simultaniously, and pass each other at the third string

As with any physical movements, make sure that your fingers are warmed up. DO NOT CONTINUE if there is discomfort or pain.
