Now let's put a lick on top of the harmony shuffle. In musical lingo this lick is described as a series of double-stops. What that means in english is two notes played together. They don't necessarily need to be struck on exactly the same beat, they simply need to ring together. (For a more detailed explanation of double stop theory check out Classic Double-Stops: 3rds and 6ths located in the basics section of WholeNote.)
