MOVING VOICE #1

(1)Play entire pattern going from A thru variations until reaching A again (with different diagram pattern then reverse direction)

(2)Play again, leave out A7

(3)Play A,Amaj7,A6,Amaj7, and back to A. These three can be interchangeable.

(4)When doing the complete pattern, start to extend 1st finger towards the tuning keys. On A6. Rotate your hand to the left. Point the index finger. Tuck your elbow in to your right side. Tip of the finger should hold the string down slightly behind the fret.

(5)Use any rhythm you like.

(6)Play each chord for a whole measure, then two beats, then one beat each. This is where you can really hear the moving voice and the "force" the pattern has.

Play entire patterns thru all keys available to you. Suggest Ab chromatically thru Eb. The composer will only allow the sound from Ab to D with the moving voice.

This example plays Ab to B as in the examples. From C to D the pattern is reversed.
