Rick's Easy Pickings

Here's the first of a selection of easy pickings for beginner to intermediate players.

Don't be put off by the slightly unusual left-hand fingering in this first example. All the chords are dead easy to play and at most require 3 fingers. I use the 4th finger of my left hand in all of these chords.

Since you are here to learn, I suggest learning this one using Classical right-hand fingering

T 3 T 1 2 T 3 T 1 2 3| [ T=Thumb 1=1st Finger 2=2nd Finger 3=3rd finger ]

As you can hopefully tell, Bars 1-4 and bars 5-8 are two separate examples using the same picking.

Hint: For new ideas, try using the first chord shape at different positions up and down the neck.
