Slow Little Finger Pull-Off Sequence

This lesson presents another slower pull-off example, this time almost exclusively using the little finger of the left hand.

Let all strings ring throughout as shown.

I have been asked what picking style is used to play the piece; I play this piece finger-style using 3-fingers plus thumb (classical technique). The picking order I use is :-

[ T=Thumb 1,2,3 = 1st,2nd,3rd Finger P=Pull]

T 2 1-P 2 1-P 3 2 1-P 3 2 1-P 2 | T ....

Although I've never tried before (thanks for the encouragement), one possible two finger equivalent would be :-

T 1 T-P 2 1-P 2 1 T-P 2 1 T-P 1 | T ...

And flat picking [ D=Down, U = Up, P = Pull]

D U D-P U D-P U U D-P U U D-P U | D

And as always, practice slowly until your fingers have learned their stuff, then increase to speed.
