Circle Of Fifths/Positional Playing Exercise

The circle of the fourths can be a quick way to move around the fretboard while using the CAGED patterns. A good exercise is to start on any key and move a pattern horizontally along the fretboard. But I'm going to take it a step further and use positional playing to... well make your life miserable.

I'll start with the key of A on the second position and work counter-clockwise on the circle of fourths.

We've now covered 12 positions on the fretboard. We started with the 2nd position so now I'm going to do the same starting with D on the 2nd position.

You can continue counter-clockwise starting with G.
