This is a well-known, wonderfully simple tune. Also, the chords themselves are interesting and can be applied to other accompaniments.
The melody needn't be played on a guitar, of course. It probably sounds better with a flute or something like that.
Here's the intro. It uses the basic Samba rhythm (see my
'Bossa/Samba Rhythm' lesson
). The intro is 4 bars long.
Note:
It ought to be played slightly slower than this, about 126, but we can't do that here!
Note: Set the Sound to 'Ac Nylon' for best effect.
