Caprices Of Campagnoli

These excerpts are taken from the book "Bartolomeo Campagnoli: 41 Caprices opus 22" for viola. Many of the pieces in this book are very good exercises for electric guitar if you only have the patience to transcribe them for the C-clef. So lets start our journey to the land of viola!

The first example is the ending part from Caprice 1. It is in C major and starts with some traditional scalar runs. While the first bars are relatively easy, the last ones are more challenging giving you the perfect opportunity to practise some sweep picking if you happen to be a fan of that technique. Notice the clever way how Campagnoli uses the tones outside of C Major scale.
