The "Brent Box Sets" concept
for fingering Modes on Guitar

Set #2: The Green Box

Figure 2.02 below illustrates the placement of the two parallel minor tetrachords sets
placed respectively on strings 4 & 5, and on strings 2 & 3.

The "jog" between string 3 and string 2 is due to the characteristic tuning of the guitar's "B" string.
In spite of this offset, these two minor tetrachords are still considered to be "parallel".


Figure 2.03 below shows the principal box in Brent Box Set #2 - The Green Box.

With a spread of three frets and a span of four strings (2, 3, 4 & 5),
the green box is functionally identical to the red box and purple box seen in our analysis of
Brent Box Set #1.
