This next example uses the same chord pattern as the last page, but on top there is a ska-like harmony line. Horn sections are very common is Ska so this example tries to create that feel. Because Ska is primarilly dance music, the use of horns and keyboards helps to extend the jams and allow the groove to play for a long time without getting too repetative. Try this melody line at a slow tempo at first and gradually increase the tempo.
