For warming up and for increasing finger strength and dexterity in general, I love to use pieces from Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for the Violin. There's an incredible amount of material in this book, and it's also good preparation for soloing over chord progressions, because there's always a fast moving harmony. Here is an excerpt. If you want to see the harmonic analysis of what chords you're implying when you play this, look at pages 2 and 3, which also have grooves that you can practice over. BTW, if you crank the tempo to 360, it's sounds like...Yngwie...
