In top songs there is oft a short melody stated by the guitar which resolves itself at the end. This type of quick and to the point musical statement can be found in many hits of today.

In this example the use of a "phaser on the Bass interweaves with the clean picked guitar to give the percussion a unified form. The hard guitar is then used to give dynamic punch to the tune.

There is no vocal.The basic contrived short motif stated by the hard guitar at the apex or center of the template is used as a basis from which to derive the complete melody for the singer.

This is done by extracting that short motif and reworking it on paper using standard compositional technique.
