Color-Coded Guitar Slide

Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

Page 1 contains the Flat and Sharp map from fret 0 (Open) to fret 24.
This page won't print properly because of its size.
One way around this is to hit the "Print Scrn SysRq" on your keyboard,
this will "Copy" the screen. Open the Paint program and "Paste". Once the maps are completed in Paint,
simply flip the view by 90 degrees so that the entire fretboard will fit on the screen.
Print both fretboards on a Transparency. This is the slide part of the Guitar Slide Ruler

Page 2 contains the Major Scale with Scale degrees.
The map is color coded so viewing chords becomes as easy as
Major = (1_3_5), (4_6_1), and (5_7_2)
Minor = (2_4_6), (3_5_7), and (6_1_3)
Dim = (7_2_4). Note: 2 = 9, 4 = 11, and 6 = 13

Page 2, do same as page 1 but use paper. This is the fixed portion of the slide ruler.
To see the complete Caged pattern from fret 0 to 24, add another 12 frets onto fret 24.
Now you'll have 37 frets in all counting the 0 = Open.
Do not leave the fret numbers on the top row, erase them in "Paint" but keep the row.
Glue page 2 Map onto a cardboard and add a lip to it.
Place Fretboard Transparency Map from page 1 onto the lip and slide it into any position.
The 1 indicates the Key and you will see the pattern from Open=0 to fret 24.
