I'm putting up this lesson for completeness, mostly as a pre-text to my arpeggio pages which hopefully will be completed very soon. I'll be describing how to construct the basic chords contained within each scale. I'll be concentrating on the major scale but the points presented work for all other scales.

Dont be put off by the theoretical aspect of this subject, its very easy and very logical.

After reading this primer you will be able to take any scale(major, minor(natural, melodic, harmonic), diminished) and be able to construct the chords associated with it. You'll even be able to construct the triads associated with the modes of all scales. Yes, all of them. And its simple as hell. Here we go!
