Minor Pentatonic

Minor Pentatonic

The Minor Pentatonic scale is a pretty basic scale because it contains only 5 notes rather than 7.

The Minor Pentatonic contains the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 7th of the Natural Minor (Aeolian) scale. However there are some notes you can add to make the Pentatonic sound different(7 to be exact).

  1. Flatted Fifth
  2. Major Third
  3. Second
  4. Minor Sixth
  5. Major Sixth
  6. Major Seventh/Sharp Seventh
  7. Sharp First/Flat Second
