Now, go up one way, and back down another way. This is only one example. I like to spend five minutes combining all three, non-stop. Just randomize it. Then start adding speed. For finger style, try picking one quater per note, two eighths, one triplet, four sixteenths etc. Same for picking. Use down/up sequence. Basically, have fun!
