Now it's time for the meaty part of the lesson. What do I play for a 7th (i.e. dominant) chord? The choices here are almost dizzying. I'm presenting each one of these chords in a ii-V-I progression, because I think it's important to hear the differences between them in context. Note that there isn't all that much difference in fingering between the different types - a note here and there, but the difference is sound is quite large...
