The Chromatic Scale is composed of all half steps, or all the notes in Western music. It comprises all notes in consecutive order, both ascending - using sharps, and descending - using flats.

Practicing the Chromatic Scale is a great way to warm up and familiarize yourself with the fretboard. It's also a great way to build up speed and accuracy in your alternate picking.
