I highly recommend this book to expand your overall technique, accuracy, and precision along the lines of players such as Steve Vai who is Paganini reincarnated. Your skill level will take a quantum leap no matter what style you prefer!! All of Tapella's material is worth exploring - unless you are already as good as he is.

The only reason to get this book is if you want to learn small excerpts from various Classical composer's works. Don't purchase if your intentions are to learn the theory and style of Classical. I simply ordered it out of sheer curiousity. Nowadays, I rarely buy instructional books on other musician's music. I prefer to study theory-related material. The highlight of "Challenge the Masters" is probably the cover of the book! It shows a Classical-lookin' fella holding a hot-rodded Stratocaster.
