No matter what level bassist or musician you are, this dvd will improve the way you look and play music. Take the time to watch the interviews/commentary on this disk and really "listen" to what Vic has to say, it will change your life! This dvd is Excellent accross the board.

Everyone who wants to become a better player should watch this (so EVERYONE should watch it!). This video is solely responsible for inspiring me to be the best i can be on the bass. You also get a very good, in depth explanation about Vic's techniques, which is well worth the money. To me, it's one of those videos you can watch again and again and again and love it more and more each time. WATCH IT!

Amazing. Nothing better for a good demonstaration of different ways you will never be able to make your bass sound like..... amazing.... after all, it is Vic.

This video is amazing. Victor is a must-to-see for any bassist. His technique is just amazing. It is fun to see him play. And the explanations about his double-thump technique are great. He uses tapping, thumping, harmonics all over the bass. I can watch his video over and over, and I'll still be amazed by the ease he shows. Great apparence by Oteil Burbridge. The only downside: I would have like to see more footage from Victor !

This DVD will either make you or break you. You can either use this as a stepping stone to become another Vic or it'll depress you and wonder why you quit your day job. But all kidding aside, this DVD is excellent. Vic's performance is beyond measure. The DVD also includes a 60 min instruction interview that will definitely make you understand (in awe) how he does his licks. If you love Bass Playing (which I do), I recommend this DVD. I've played it 1000 times already since I got it (yesterday). I'm not kidding. Peace <><

Overall I think this is a must have video. Wooten is incredible, and his easy going manner shows through to his teaching. He also gives you a little peek into what made him the stellar player that he is, how he grew up, who influenced him, etc. He does a commendable job teaching about his right hand technigues, specifically double thumping and tapping. The only thing I would liked more of is left hand shots. He moves blindingly fast when he plays with so little effort it sometimes makes it hard to tell when he's hamering and not. It's a little pricey at $49.95, but well worth the money!

My bass teacher showed me this video. It was the first I had heard of Victor Wooten . . . and my life was changed forever.

Vic plays the bass as an amazing soloinstrument, ranging from funk to ballad to spiritual. What impresses me most is not just his playing, but how he describes what he is doing. He is very articulate yet very measured in his responses . . . the qualities that hint at the deep character of the man.

The video is very well produced and mixed, with multiple camera angles so we can see those amazing hands!

Playing with Vic are brother Regi on guitar, Kelly Gravley on drums, and Oteil Burbridge for a guest bass appearance. This video continues to inspire me. It's a great alternative to a movie any night!

The Q&A in this video is worth the money I paid for it, Victor shows his true colours in this video and the spread of sounds out of his four string yin yang bass are amazing, just as the amazing grace lick he does. WELL WORTH the money!
