When I think of those great Seattle bands from the early 90s like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and others, I think of the interesting harmonies that they used and how they used certain rhythm patterns to create great songs. Heres a few chord progressions that have the same kind of feeling. Let's take a look at the progession below in G. I think the most likely major chord choices in this style are G, Bb, C, Db, Eb, and F. If you look at the rhythm, you see that the chords for the second and fourth measures happen on the beat before the measure, which is really common in this style
