Here are some very easy but still very useable chord voicings you can use in a variety of jazz situations.
These are similiar to voicings Freddie Green or Django might have used.
These chords will all be made up of 3 notes. Three notes is all you need to imply a variety of chords, including (but not limited to):
  • major seventh
  • dominant seventh
  • minor seventh
  • major sixth
