Basics: C-Based Interval Exercise

Use this exercise to help you improve your aural mastery of intervals. A random interval with "C" as the bottom note will be played, and it's up to you to determine what the name of the interval is. If you need help, consult our Interval Reference Chart:

1. to a random interval, and identify it using the choices below:

Unison    Minor 2nd   Major 2nd     Minor 3rd
Major 3rd Perfect 4th Augmented 4th Perfect 5th
Minor 6th Major 6th   Minor 7th     Major 7th

Instructions
1. Listen to the interval by clicking the "Listen" button. It consists of a 'C' in the bass and another note on top. Together, they comprise the interval.

2. Try to identify this interval and make your selection from the available choices.
