Use this exercise to help you improve your aural mastery of notes. A C-F-G-C progression is played to establish a 'C' in your mind, and then two random notes are played. It's up to you to determine what these two mystery notes are. If you need help, consult our Sound Reference Chart on the main ear training page:

1. to two random notes, and identify them:
2. the notes:
1:  C# Eb F F# Ab Bb
2:  C# Eb F F# Ab Bb

Instructions
1. A C-F-G-C progression is played at the start of the sound example. Use this to establish a 'C' in your mind.

2. Two random notes will be played after the progression. Try to identify the notes relative to the key of 'C', and make your selection.
